Malpas Sensei is the head of the worlwide Dentokan, and is the direct student of Roy Hobbs Sensei. He is graded to Hachidan (8th Dan) Hanshi within the Dentokan and holds Menkyo Kaiden in Aikijujutsu He is a Dan Grade in all of the Dentokan arts (Shorin Ryu Karate, Goju Ryu Karate, Shito Ryu Karate, Dentokan Aikijujutsu, Dentokan Okinawan Kobujutsu, Dentokan Iaijutsu). He is the head of the worldwide Dentokan
He teaches all the Dentokan arts on a non-profit basis, respecting the teachings of Hobbs Sensei, with the aim of maintaining the traditional arts of Japan and Okinawa, and furthering the development of martial artists worldwide.

Hobbs Sensei is the Chairman of the worldwide Dentokan, which was founded in 1994 as a means of providing instruction, and certification, in the various martial arts he has studied and practiced for nearly 60 years.Col Hobbs holds senior grades in Karate, Kobujutsu/Kobudo, Aikijujutsu, and Iaijutsu/Iaido. All awarded by well known Japanese and/or Okinawa based groups. He is certified by the Japanese based International Karate Masters Association (IKMA). Within the IKMA, he serves as the Goju-Ryu Karate-Do Director.
Col Hobbs is a member of the Goju-Ryu Okinawakan Karate-Do Kyokai and the Ryukyu Dento Kobujutsu Hozon Budo Kyokai. He is a direct student of Kiichi Nakamoto, Kaicho. In an effort to spread the true martial arts of Okinawa, Col Hobbs serves as an Advisor to the Goju-Ryu Okinawakan Karate-Do Kyokai, the Ryukyu Dento Kobujutsu Hozon Budo Kyokai, the International Goju-Ryu Karate Association and the Ryukyu Karate Kobudo Kenkyukai.
